April 27, 1998

Active FM - the new dance station for East London has begun test transmissions on 107.5 MHz. RDS name is _ACTIVE_ and PI code C09E. (Mark Hattam)

Wax FM - coming in weakly on 107.0 MHz. Phone number given on air had 01494 area code, suggesting High Wycombe area. Bad interference from pirate Beat FM on 107.1. (Mark Hattam)

April 22, 1998

Propagation - Burst of Italian speech station heard on 87.6 MHz at 2030 UTC, overriding the usual weak RTBF Belgian. First Sporadic E of summer? (Mark Hattam)

April 20, 1998

QSLs - On 21st March 1998 I sent follow-up reports to long time no-repliers ... 860 CHAK, 910 WABI, 970 KIAK, 980 WAAV, 1070 KNX, 1380 KRKO, 1600 WLNG ... for reception made whilst on dx-pedition at Sheigra in 1990. Replies so far from KIAK, KNX and KRKO. (Mark Hattam)
