Red Sands Radio - is testing on 1278 kHz prior to their RSL this month. Apparently good reception in Essex, but checking here at 2200 UTC the only English station was Pulse Classic Gold from Bradford. You can listen too on the Red Sands website.
EWE vs ALA 1530 - did a quick comparison of the two aerials this morning. 1134 kHz on the loop had L&D Radio (north) dominant with Gurkha Radio in the background (southwest). However on the SW beaming EWE aerial, Gurkha Radio was loud and clear.

EWE aerial installed - spent the end of the daylight putting up an EWE antenna beaming approx 255 degrees. Didn't have an opportunity to do much tweaking of the resistor, but it seems to work pretty well.
