MW - Finally got an ID from Celtic Music Radio on 1530 kHz, with their ID at 40 seconds past the top of the hour audible while Pulse! were carrying news. I've been trying to get a positive ID from them for the past 6 months at least ... but they never faded up at the right time.

MW - Littoral AM is on-air on 1593 kHz in standard AM mode. Coming in well despite the co-channel DRM from Germany. Their station website is littoralam.fr but the on-air announcements give RadioNumerique-Bretagne.com

MW RSL - Radio Rockingham is on-air on 1602 kHz for the BTCC racing weekend at the Rockingham Raceway Circuit just west of Corby this weekend.

MW closedown - CBA Moncton, the 50 kW station serving New Brunswick on 1070 kHz, closes its MW channel at 0700 Atlantic time tomorrow morning ... 1000 UTC. There will be a special short duration "DX Test" at around 0100 Atlantic time, 0400 UTC which *should* be audible across the Atlantic.

UK FM - Touch Radio began broadcasting at 7pm (1800 UTC) this evening serving Warwick, Leamington and Kenilworth. Noted their RDS TOUCH___ while driving up the M40/A43 towards Northampton. More details on the Touch Radio website.

MW - RTE finally switched off their transmitter on 567 kHz (and the relay on 729 kHz).
aerials - relocated the feeders at home, and moved the SW beaming EWE to the back garden which means it's slightly further anti-clockwise than previously. It picks up the Gurkha station from Sandhurst on 1134 kHz very nicely, whereas the NW and NNW aerials yield L&D Hospital Radio.

MW - TWR Benin have a slightly revised programme schedule for their new transmitter in Benin on 1566 kHz. In the mornings they're on 0200-0435 UTC, and in the evening 1600-2030 (or 2045).
MW - VRT closed most of their Flemish language outlets on mediumwave today. So 540 and 1512 are now silent. 927 kHz continues to broadcast the Radio 1 service. 1188 kHz was supposed to close down too, but appears to still be on the air.

MW - R Littoral on 1593 kHz broadcast overnight in standard AM modulation despite announcing DRM with a mixture of music (French pop and Breton folk) with English and French IDs.

MW - Vatican Radio on 1530 kHz noted much earlier than their normally scheduled 0330 start with Spanish at 0100, then French at 0230. Not shown on their website schedule. As I was recording that channel overnight, trying to hear Celtic Music Radio, it didn't help.
